DAY 01: MANAGUA - LEON
Airport greeting and private transfer north to the colonial capital of León. Lodging in the León's historic center at the Hotel El Convento.
DAY 02: LEON - CERRO NEGRO VOLCANO - LEON
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the slopes of the active Cerro Negro Volcano for hiking on this surreal black sand and rock mountain, with view of its smoking interior. Lodging at Hotel El Convento.
DAY 03: LEON - JUAN VENADO WILDLIFE RESERVE - LEON
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the Pacific Coast island of Juan Venado for ocean kayak exploration of this seldom seen mangrove estuary reserve. Lodging at Hotel El Convento in León.
DAY 04: LEON - MASAYA VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK - GRANADA
Breakfast at hotel and transfer south to the active cone of the Masaya Volcano National Park. Hiking around the 5-crater complex, including the smoking crater of Santiago. Transfer to historic Granada. Lodging on central park at Hotel Plaza Colón.
DAY 05: GRANADA - MOMBACHO VOLCANO - GRANADA
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the slopes of the dormant Mombacho Volcano for a canopy tour high up in the cloud forest. This is the finest zip-lining tour in Nicaragua. Lodging at Hotel Plaza Colón
DAY 06: GRANADA - LAS ISLETAS - GRANADA
Breakfast at hotel and visit to the island archipelago of Las Isletas for kayaking in the warm waters of Lake Nicaragua. Lodging at Hotel Plaza Colón.
DAY 07: GRANADA - OMETEPE ISLAND
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to San Jorge for the ferry to the dual-volcano island of Ometepe. Dock greeting and transfer around the active cone of Concepción with in route to Santo Domingo Beach. Lodging at Hotel Villa Paraiso. Afternoon mountain bike riding to country ranch to view ancient pre-Columbian petroglyphs.
DAY 08: OMETEPE ISLAND - MADERAS VOLCANO
Morning transfer to the base of the extinct, cloud forest wrapped Maderas Volcano for a 3-8 hour hike depending on elevation reached and pace. For those that reach the summit - rappel down into the crater to taste the magical waters of its misty crater lake. Return to Santo Domingo. Lodging at Hotel Villa Paraiso.
DAY 09: OMETEPE ISLAND - CONCEPCIÓN VOLCANO
Early morning transfer to climb the active Concepción Volcano with local guide and box breakfast or horseback visit to the magical fresh water spring, El Ojo. Return to Santo Domingo. Lodging at Hotel Villa Paraiso.
DAY 10: OMETEPE ISLAND - SAN JUAN DEL SUR
Breakfast and transfer to Moyogalpa for the ferry to the mainland. Dock greeting in San Jorge and transfer to the lovely half-moon bay on the Nicaragua Pacific, San Juan del Sur. Lodging at the Hotel Piedras y Olas (Pelican Eyes)
DAY 11: SAN JUAN DEL SUR, PACIFIC OCEAN
Breakfast at hotel and morning sailing trip in 41 foot private yacht on Pacific Ocean. Lodging at Hotel Pelican Eyes.
DAY 12: SAN JUAN DEL SUR
Breakfast and day free to enjoy the beach. Lodging at Hotel Pelican Eyes.
DAY 13: SAN JUAN DEL SUR - MASAYA MARKET - MANAGUA
Breakfast at hotel and transfer north to the restored 19th century Indian Market at Masaya. Transfer to Managua for lodging at the Hotel Los Robles.
DAY 14: MANAGUA
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for flight home.
