Nicaragua is blessed with a long, sandy Pacific Coast that enjoys 300 days annual of sunshine and an average temperature is 84ºF year-round. Due to the undeveloped nature of the Nicaragua Pacific, hotel choices along the coast are limited, so one good solution is to use the popular fishing village and beach town of San Juan del Sur as your base. San Juan del Sur can be used to just relax. It has a long half-moon bay that is lined by thatched-roof seafood restaurants, perfect for just hanging out on the beach and then taking in the views with cold beer and fresh red snapper or lobster. However, San Juan del Sur is also a good base for exploring nearby beaches, sailing, surfing and deep sea fishing. We recommend that for those who like salt water adventure, but want to play it by ear, or for those who just want to relax that you consider a week in San Juan del Sur to explore either possibility.

Pacific Ocean Beach Itinerary

DAY 01: MANAGUA
Airport greeting and transfer to Hotel Intercontinental in Managua's new restaurant district.
DAY 02: MANAGUA – SAN JUAN DEL SUR, PACIFIC OCEAN
Breakfast and transfer south to the Pacific coast beach town of San Juan del Sur. Lodging in private 2 bedroom villa at Piedras y Olas.
DAYS 03-05: SAN JUAN DEL SUR
Enjoying the beach and relax or take advantage of many optional trips offered in-town and by the hotel. Breakfast and lodging at Piedras y Olas in private villa.
DAY 06: SAN JUAN DEL SUR - MANAGUA
Breakfast and afternoon transfer to Managua with stops at the Masaya Market and Masaya Volcano National Park in route. Lodging at the Hotel Intercontinental in Managua.
DAY 07: MANAGUA
Breakfast and transfer to airport for flight home.
