San Juan del Sur, a small fishing village with great seafood and a beautiful half-moon bay on the Pacific Coast. Santo Domingo is an exotic island beach in the shadow of two massive volcanoes and lapped by the warm waters of Lake Nicaragua. The Corn Islands are gems lined by pure white sand beaches, washed by the transparent Caribbean Sea. This is a hedonistic pilgrimage of sand, sea and sun.

Three Seas Beach Itinerary

DAY 01: MANAGUA - GRANADA
Airport greeting by guide and private transportation and transfer to the lake front colonial city of Granada for lodging at Hotel Alhambra on Central Park.
DAY 02: GRANADA - SAN JUAN DEL SUR
Transfer with guide to the lovely half-moon bay of San Juan del Sur and the Hotel Casablanca on Pacific Coast.
DAYS 03-05: SAN JUAN DEL SUR, PACIFIC COAST
Lodging at Hotel Casablanca. Optional tours to other beaches.
DAY 06: SAN JUAN DEL SUR - OMETEPE ISLAND, LAKE NICARAGUA
Pick-up by guide and transportation and transfer to San Jorge for public ferry to the world's largest volcanic lake island, Ometepe. 4x4 transfer to Hotel Villa Paraiso on Santo Domingo Beach.
DAYS 07-08: OMETEPE ISLAND, LAKE NICARAGUA
Lodging on Ometepe Island at Villa Paraiso, option of various activities offered by hotel.
DAY 09: OMETEPE ISLAND - MANAGUA - LITTLE CORN ISLAND
Transfer to Moyogalpa for public ferry to mainland. Greeting by transport and guide at San Jorge and transfer to airport for flight to Big Corn Island. Taxi to dock and water taxi to Little Corn Island for lodging at Hotel Los Delfines.
DAYS 10-12: LITTLE CORN ISLAND, CARIBBEAN SEA
Lodging on Little Corn at Hotel Los Delfines, option of various activities offered by hotel.
DAY 13: CORN ISLAND - MANAGUA
Transfer in water taxi (on your own) to Big Corn and flight to Managua. Greeting by guide and private transport in Managua and transfer to Hotel Europeo in Managua.
DAY 14: MANAGUA
Transfer to airport for flight home.

MANAGUA - STANDARD

Hotel Europeo, located in Managua's quiet gallery district, within one block of two of Managua's finest modern art galleries and minutes from both the old and new centers of Managua. This quiet personal hotel is part of a European non-profit organization. The hotel has charming rooms with telephone, private bath, hot water, A/C and cable TV. The lobby has free Internet service and meals are served in the garden area next to a swimming pool.

MANAGUA - UPGRADES

GRANADA - STANDARD

Hotel Alhambra, located on central park, facing the cathedral with a great balcony for watching the life of Granada and dinning or enjoying a drink. This hotel owned and operated by one of the city's oldest families. A landmark in Granada and convenient to all attractions with a friendly staff. The interior of the hotel has an open-air garden and is smartly decorated with antiques and Nicaraguan art. 56 rooms, private bath, A/C, telephone, cable TV, swimming pool. Restaurant (not owned or operated by hotel) offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and is best enjoyed on its long veranda that looks out on Central Park, great for people watching. Granada's best 3 star hotel.

GRANADA - UPGRADES

Hotel Colonial, located a half-block from central park, this 27 room hotel is a ground-up restoration of a classic colonial home. The hotel has a great deal of charm with many colonial Nicaraguan touches. The hotel's high quality rooms are decorated with traditional Nicaraguan art and use four-post beds. Each room has private bath, A/C, telephone, cable TV, swimming pool. The hotel restaurant is for breakfast only. This is very comfortable and charming hotel, one of Granada's two best.

Hotel La Gran Francia, located just off central park, this 15 room hotel is a ground-up restoration of a classic colonial home. The hotel has a great deal of charm with many colonial Nicaraguan touches. We feature the hotel's Jr. suites which all have big wooden colonial doors that open out onto balconies with a view to the Cathedral. These top quality rooms are decorated with traditional Nicaraguan art. Each room has private bath, A/C, telephone, cable TV, swimming pool. The hotel restaurant is located across the street and is one of Granada's finest. This is very comfortable and charming hotel, one of Granada's two best.

SAN JUAN DEL SUR - STANDARD

Hotel Casablanca, located across from the beach, in the center of this small town and across from town's best seafood restaurant. Owned by a Nicaraguan American couple, this hotel is charming with a very warm and relaxed staff, lots of precious wood used in construction, hammocks on the communal front patio and a family atmosphere. The restaurant is for breakfast only. Hotel Casablanca has 14 simple rooms with private bath, A/C, cable TV. The baths have no heated water. The best located hotel in San Juan del Sur with friendly service.

SAN JUAN DEL SUR - UPGRADE

Morgan's Rock, located on southern Pacific Coast beach of Playa Ocotál. This hotel is Nicaragua's entrance in the heady world of sustainable eco-friendly beach hotels, albeit built on a private beach reserved for hotel guests only. Opened to the public in July of 2004, the all inclusive hotel with 15 private cabins, a reforestation project, 800 hectare private nature reserve and educational programs. The beaches of this zone of Nicaragua's coast are the finest on Central America's Pacific Coast. Nicaragua's finest beach hotel and one of its two best top rate ecolodges.

OMETEPE ISLAND, LAKE NICARAGUA

Hotel Villa Paraiso, located above the Santo Domingo beach on the isthmus between the two volcanoes that make up the island. Truly a paradisiacal location with a year-round breeze off the great lake, many exotic plants and outdoor beach and lake view eating in thatched huts. Owned and operated by an Austrian-Nicaraguan couple, this lodge has great access to attractions on both side of the dual volcano island and a good kitchen with a varied menu. Rooms are simple bungalows made of wood and brick with private bath and surrounded by lush gardens. The complex has 25 cabañas, private bath, A/C and a full menu restaurant. The hotel rooms have no heated water and geckos (harmless, but at times noisy). Ometepe island's best hotel with the best location.

LITTLE CORN ISLAND, CARIBBEAN SEA

Hotel Los Delfines, located in front of a lovely white sand beach. The hotel is 50 minutes from Big Corn Island in water taxi, which is an hour flight from Managua. Owned and operated by a native of the islands this hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms with and without a/c. All rooms have private bath. There are 10 private cabins that we use in our programs, which have a/c, double and single beds, terraces and a mini-fridge. The hotel has an excellent restaurant for sampling fresh lobster, shrimp, etc. The best hotel on either island, with the best location.
